Thank you for all of your entries!
I had the most enjoyable time visiting everyone's websites! Be sure to click on the link below to purchase your own copy! I am SO excited to introduce this extremely helpful Organizer for your Home to you! It is written by one of my dear friends, Dianna Overholt who lives right here in the Ozarks with us.
Imagine my surprise when I happened to run into her at the local store only to have her show me her newest book! To be honest, I have never seen a better, more thorough organizer ever in my life.
She has thought of everything and more to include in this. I just know you are going to LOVE it! I have to warn you, that my camera is not cooperating and I'm currently in the market for a new one, so please forgive the poor quality of the pictures.
They do not do this organizer justice. You have many different ways to enter see below and the winner will be chosen at noon CST next Monday the 17th, Also below, I will include where you can go ahead and order yourself one or two or three! Talk about great Christmas gifts, you can simply call and order as many as you'd like today!
To begin with, it has a beautifully printed cover and clearly labeled tabs for you to find your spot which makes it very easy to use. One of my favorite details is that she has shared her heart on homemaking issues throughout the organizer and added beautiful scriptures for encouragement too.
The very first section is your calendar that is given to you by weeks and a full month view. After your calendar pages Dianna has included some extra pages for things that need to be remembered in according to month, and an extra special section to help schedule your days, AND some pullout note sections to carry a quick list with you for reminders.
The next section is for all things regarding Home Foods.
For example, keeping track of your family's favorite meals and menu plans. One of the things I have trouble remembering, is what is in our deep freezer.
Dianna has solved this problem for me with her Freezer Food pages that allow me to take an inventory of what is in there by writing down the date of the inventory, the name of the item and a way to keep track of how many are used.
This is great for all of your frozen produce, meat and everything you put in there. There are similar pages to keep track of all your canned foods too. This has been a life saver for me to keep track of everything we canned this season.
This allows you to record details to refer to year after year to enable you to improve each year or simply to remember how well your garden did! The next tab is for Cleaning. This has a wonderful section of cleaning charts for deep cleaning a little at a time with Dianna's wonderful advice on how to use them with her easy method.
Dianna has also included several Hospitality Checklist sheets for your quick to do lists when company is coming.
What a helpful thing to have when you think of all those little things you are trying to remember to do before your company is ringing your door bell! Next is the Clothing section. The mother has a special place of responsibility in the home. Aged women are to teach “the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discrete, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed” (Tit.
, 5). I’m Single – Why Should “Homemaking” Matter to Me? Candi Finch, February 19, You’ve probably heard that, starting tonight, Southwestern is hosting The Art of Homemaking Conference.
As I’ve talked about this conference series with our students, I keep getting two pretty different reactions. Ana Maria Lykes left her job as an editor-in-chief for AsianTraveler magazine and as a travel columnist for a local paper in the U.S.
to answer to an even bigger boss: a demanding three-year-old. Women of many different ages and stages of life are called to be a homemaker. As a mom and wife, I am certainly called to it! For me, being a homemaker means cultivating a home that is centered on Jesus Christ, on love, and on nurturing and growing together.
